Educational Scholarship Award Guidelines
The Educational Scholarship Award was created in memory of Laurie Malone, founding Board Member of K2 Adventures Foundation. Laurie’s life-long passion for helping individuals who are medically fragile or at-risk, reach their potential by furthering their education, was evident throughout her life.
Individuals applying for this scholarship must be a resident of the United States and will be attending post high school education at one of the following: Trade School, Community College or University.
Individual qualifications to apply for the Laurie Malone Educational Scholarship Award:
— Individuals must maintain a GPA between 2.0 – 4.0 in high school
— Individuals must participate in either extra-curricular or community service activities
— Individuals must provide an official, sealed copy of their student transcript provided by the school registrar’s office
— Individuals must provide documentation of their classification as medically fragile or at-risk

If you are selected to receive the Laurie Malone Educational Scholarship Award, the monies will be awarded during the academic school year each semester, on a case-by-case basis.
Each recipient will be awarded these funds directly to the school they are attending. It is the responsibility of the recipient to provide all details for the school of choice and wiring
instructions. If you are selected to receive the award, the amount will be $1,500 per semester, not to exceed $3,000 per academic school year.
